Lisa Berglund

Lisa Berglund directed the Opera-Lytes productions of Patience (2016), Princess Ida (2015), The Pirates of Penzance (2013), Iolanthe (2012), The Gondoliers (2010) and Signor Deluso (2009). On-stage she has appeared as Eulalie McKechnie Shinn (The Music Man), Mrs. Partlet (The Sorcerer), Cousin Hebe (HMS Pinafore) and Ernestina Money (Hello, Dolly!); she also regularly sings with the chorus. For Opera-Lytes’ education programming since 2013, Lisa has written and presented pre-performance lectures, and she has scripted narratives for the company’s educational concerts including Opera on Broadway, The World of Gilbert and Sullivan, and An Evening at the Savoy. Lisa is an Active Member of the Chromatic Club and a chorus member of the Savoynet Performing Group, 2013 International Champions and regular participants in the Annual International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, a competitive festival held in Harrogate, England. In her copious free time Lisa is Chair of the English Department at Buffalo State College. She has published widely on the history of the printed book, eighteenth-century studies and lexicography.
